I was caught from chapter one. The book definitely has a bit of light, cartoon-ish humor which can be hard to pull of in a book, but it does it pretty perfectly. The main character is almost the lovable idiot type with a lot of ambition. The book does go into a little bit of fantasy war times, so you might need a bit of interest in that. I’m not one for history of any kind, especially real world history, but this was definitely enough to keep my interest for the whole book. Everything is pretty fast paced and it definitely adds quite a bit of suspense to the book. Even though there is a bit of violence, it’s not very disturbing so it would be fine for any older child or teenager as well as adults who love fantasy books. When you meat the fairy, Auria, she’s a very strong female character, which seems to be a hit and miss in some fantasy books. I think her character is amazing, showing that you can be both strong and feminine at the same time without having to sacrifice who you are. For a portion of the book, we only really get to meet her through flashbacks and dreams, though. I don’t want to spoil too much for you all, so I’ll have to leave it there! I definitely enjoyed reading it!

This book is an excellent book. I finished this book in 2 days. It was really hard to put it down once I started reading it. This book is full of romance, mystery and change. The best character from this book is Erik, he has such a heart. This book really shows that love can change your life. I love how Auria came into his life and he wanted to change himself for the good and fight for her. This author did such a great job of making you feel that you were actually in the book. Everything seemed so real. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves to read about love and taking chances. This is one of the best books I have read in a while. I can not wait to read another book by this author. He does an amazing job bringing stories to life.

In Search of Auria is an epic tale of a warrior and the obstacles he encounters as he struggles to rescue his true love, Auria, from the clutches of evil. The world the story is built around is rich, filled with fantastic creatures, magic, and danger from seemingly all sides. As the story continues, I felt as though I was a part of this world! The story is action packed from the start, but it never feels rushed, with back-story built in a way which kept wanting to know more, and an adventure that had me staying up late to finish the next page, and then the next, and then the next.In Search of Auria is built around a love story, but instead of feeling cheesy, like many stories of this type tend to come off as, I felt attracted to the lovers’ story, and truly invested in how it played out.

Beyond just the main antagonists, I found myself truly interested in the other characters I encountered as well, and loved the use of eastern lore within the context of this fantasy!

In Search of Auria is a great book, by an up-and-coming author, and one I would highly recommend to any fans of the genre.

One of the most intriguing novels I read. I was hooked from the start. It had amazing characters and a good story line. The novel got me figuring out what’s going to happen next. There are some violence in the Novel, but it adds power to the story. While reading this, I felt like I was one of the characters in the book because most of the parts are filled with suspense and surprises. I definitely recommend this to those who are in to the fantasy genre. I have already read a lot of novels and books in this genre; this is one of the best out there!

5.0 out of 5 stars An outstanding adventure!

It’s like a whole bunch of small adventures within a much bigger one! A little confusing at first, as the author informs the reader of memories of the main character that led to his current situation. Lots of enemies to fight! Well written and a very enjoyable story!
